Solorized

A birthday gift from my husband. A solarized lighthouse.

Are we not a lighthouse solarized by the Son?

Throughtout the spring, summer, and now fall, as the evening shadows came, I'd look out my living room window and see the light shining in the darkness. Lord you are that light in me shining in the darkness. What a comfort just to see the light.

(this was another one I had started in Aug and am now finishing up in Nov. Tying up lose ends again.)

The Growing Garden

In the previous posting I wrote about the critters that affect the garden. The solution given definately solved this problem. The plants began to grow.
Then another serious problem presented itself. Drought conditions began to prevail. Sunny, hot days with very little rain makes for dry, parched ground. I had watered some because I knew the plants needed the water---so droopy and sad, especially the cukes, tomatoes, watermelon etc. These really need lots of water to grow healthy. I cried out to the Lord to send rain. Not just for my garden, but for the water tables, the grass and hay, so the cattle and horses could eat. I dared not use our water to much because I didn't want to cause our well to run dry. I was praying for rain and so were the farmers. God is faithful and sent the rain even though the weather people said no rain expected. The grass and hay fields began to green up and my garden was taken care of. We are yet in drought conditions, rain is still desperately needed, but Our Father in heaven is taking care of the problem.
Now I'm harvesting the produce of the garden, enjoying the fresh taste and getting ready to preserve the overflow for the future.

ISAIAH 55:10(amplified)
For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

I was reading in 1 Corinthians 3. Paul speaks of us being God's garden and our having right heart attitude towards the planting and the watering that we do of the Living Word, Christ Jesus. One plants, another waters, but God gives the increase.

I CORINTHIANS 3:6-9(amplified)
I planted, Apollos watered, but God(all the while) was making it grow and(He) gave the increase. So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but(only) God who makes it grow and become greater. He who plants and he who waters are equal(one in aim, of the same importance and esteem), yet each shall receive his own reward(wages), according to his own labor. For we are fellow workmen(joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God's garden and vineyard and field under cultivation,( you are) God's building.

Summing up,

ISAIAH 55:11(amplified)
So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void(without producing any effect, useless), but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Such is God's Amazing Grace
